For the second straight year, under head softball coach Joely Rogers the Beavers have advanced to the NJCAA Region VI DI softball championship. The event will take place in Dodge City, Kan. at Legends Field starting on Friday, May 3.

The team finished with an overall record of 11-41 with a conference record of 7-25 with eight of the 11 wins coming at home in Angood Field. The team will then face either Colby or Seward County on Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Both teams and the Beavers had competitve games throughout the season. A win in either game would ensure a second day appearance for the Beavers on Saturday, May 5. They would play either at 12:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.

"We are excited to be heading back to the conference tournament for the second year in a row. This season did not go how we expected but the team never gave up and kept working towards the goal of going back to the tournament," said coach Rogers. "Now we prepare to take on Butler first round and make a run. I am proud of this team and cannot wait to compete this weekend.
