Beaver Track & Field Set to Compete in Kansas Relays

The Beaver track and field program is set to compete this coming weekend April 13-15 at the 100 annual Kansas Relays in Lawrence, KS. Events get underway on Thursday, April 13 at 12:00 pm. A full day of events get underway on both April 15 and 16 at 9:00 am at the KU Track and Field Complex. 

Last Time Out

Last Saturday, April 8 the Beavers competed at the North Texas Classic in Denton, TX. The women's team finished 12 out of 16 teams while the men finised 8 out of 16 teams. The team came home with four additional national qualifiers. Jamaira Ross qualified in the 5000M with a time of 18:54.7. She finished third overall and broke the school outdoor 5K record. Tyler Sonnier continued his qualifying run this time in the 400M with a time of 48.22. Both the 4x100M relay team (Sonnier, Miller, Wilson, Michel) and the 4x400M relay team (Sonnier, Beckles, Darling, Gilbreath) qualified.
