Pratt, Kan. - The Pratt Community College Beavers hosted the #12 Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons for a pre-Thanksgiving battle tonight, November 22. The Beavers entered tonight's game off their first conference win last Saturday, November 19 at Northwest Tech. On the other side, Hutch was coming off their first conference loss against Cloud County. 

The Beavers wasted no time in building a four-point lead at the end of the first quarter 18-14. Hutch took the lead back at the 7:24 mark of the second quarter. Pratt was able to tie it up at 27 with just before 2 minutes left in the quarter, but Hutch held on to a 35-27 lead at half. After the end of the third quarter, the Blue Dragons had built a 52-39 lead. Pratt was unable to bring the game within reach and lost 74-57 against the Blue Dragons. 

Freshman Princess Anderson finished the game with 21 points and Emily Acton was the only other Beaver in double figures with 13 points. Hutch outrebounded Pratt 48 to 36 with the Beavers having 27 turnovers. Pratt did finish the game with 25 points off the bench. 

Pratt will host Butler Community College for a post-Thanksgiving game on Saturday, November 26 at 2:00 pm. The Grizzlies defeated Northwest Tech 74-46 earlier tonight.
