Pratt Women Defeat Cloud County 87-74

Pratt, Kan. - The Pratt Community College Beavers kicked off the month of December by hosting the T-Birds of Cloud County Community College this afternoon, December 3. The T-Birds entered this afternoon's contest sitting at the top of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference standings. The Beavers were coming off a dominating win on Wednesday, November 30 at Wayland Baptist (JV) 84-64. 

After a back-and-forth start, the Beavers were able to start building a lead in the final two minutes of the first quarter. Pratt was up 29-15 after one. In the second quarter, the T-Birds brought the game back within eight points at the 3:30 mark after the Beavers had grown an 11-point lead. At half, the Beavers were up by 14 points 49-35. In another back-and-forth quarter, Cloud County was able to end the third quarter only being down 58-69. Pratt stayed hungry in the fourth quarter and rolled to an 87-74 win. Their second conference win of the season. 

Freshman Princess Anderson finished the game with 33 points. Both Isis Sanders (19 points) and Jade McAllister (10 points) rounded out the three players in double digits. Cloud County did outrebound the Beavers 39-37 and had thirty points off turnovers. Pratt's largest lead of the game came at the 6:03 mark in the second quarter when they lead by 16. 

The Beavers will travel to Colby Community College on Wednesday, December 7th. Gametime is set for 5:30 PM.
