Women's Basketball Announces 2022-23 Schedule

Pratt, Kan. – Pratt Community College (PCC) and Head Women’s Basketball Coach Eric Rodewald are excited to announce the 2022-23 women’s basketball schedule. The Beavers will play seven non-conference opponents throughout the season and will participate in three jamborees before starting Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) play on November 16.

The Beavers will tip off their 2022-23 season by hosting the Rattlers of Otero College on November 1st. Before starting the regular season, the team will travel to two showcases in Mansfield, TX and Lawrence, KS and will host several teams at home on October 28 for preseason scrimmages. In addition, the Beavers will face Western Oklahoma State College, Life Prep Academy and four JV opponents throughout the season.

KJCCC play will kick off at home against Seward County Community College (SCCC) on November 16. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm in the Beaver Dome. This season’s conference schedule is reverse from the 2021-22 schedule. Which means we play the same teams in the same order as last season except the home and away is flipped.

Therefore, the team will face Seward County, Northwest Tech, Hutch, Butler County, Cloud County, Colby, Barton and Independence before the holiday break. They will kick of 2023 with a trip to Garden City Community College (GCCC) and will play the last four conference opponents (Garden City, Coffeyville, Dodge City and Cowley) before resetting the conference schedule with a trip to Seward County on January 18.

Last season, the Beavers finished 3-26 overall and 2-22 in conference play. The team qualified for the first round of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region VI tournament and faced Cowley College (CC) in the first round. Unfortunately, they ended their season with a 63-54 loss to the Tigers.
