Pratt Community College emerged victorious against Northwest Kansas Technical College on January 17, 2024 with a final score of 87-77 In the first quarter, the Beavers scored 19 points while Northwest Tech scored 15 points. The second quarter saw both teams scoring 20 points each. Pratt dominated the third quarter with 31 points, while the Mavericks only scoring 20. In the final quarter, Northwest Tech outscored the Beaver 22-17. 

Sophomore Princess Anderson was the top scorer for the team, contributing 43 points. Macy Hanzlick also had a notable performance, scoring 9 points and grabbing 18 rebounds. Janessa Pauda and Emily Acton each scored 10 points for the team. Northwest Tech had a standout player in Serena Lee, who scored 30 points.

Both teams had a similar shooting percentage, with the Beavers shooting 40.7% from the field and Northwest Tech shooting 38.2%. However, Pratt had a higher three-point shooting percentage, making 33.3% of their attempts compared to the Maverick's 23.5%. The Beavers also shot 80% from the free throw line in the game. 

The Beavers will host Seward County Community College on Saturday, January 20. Tip off is set at 5:30 PM in the Beaver Dome. Admission is five dollars at the door and 18-and-under gets in free.
