The game began with Pratt taking an early lead, outscoring the Tigers 17-7 in the first quarter. Both teams matched each other in the second quarter, each scoring 19 points, which left the Beavers ahead by 10 points at halftime. The third quarter saw Fort Hays Tech Northwest rally scoring 26 points to Pratt's 21, narrowing the gap. However, the Beavers managed to hold on to their lead in the final quarter, securing the win despite being outscored 14-16.
Pratt's victory was fueled by standout performances from several players. Analia Loera led the team with 16 points, shooting 5-11 from the field and a perfect 5-5 from the free-throw line. La'Kyra Johnson contributed significantly with a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Kalani Brock also had a notable performance with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
The Tigers efforts were spearheaded by Al'asia Brown, who scored a game-high 20 points and secured 15 rebounds. Sarah Elfrey added 12 points. Despite their efforts, Fort Hays struggled with shooting efficiency, hitting only 28.6% of their field goals and 15.2% from beyond the arc.
