The Beaver wrestling team is set to open their 2023-24 season this Saturday, November 4 at the Falcon Invite at Hartman Arena in Wichita, KS. The tournament will begin at 9:00 AM and will feature 42 teams and 1,000 wrestlers. The wrestling team capped an historic 2022-23 season with a national runner-up finish at the NJCAA Men's Wrestling Championships, their third straight KJCCC championship, their first NJCAA South Central District Champions, and their eleventh straight NJCAA Wrestling All-Academic team. Pratt was just pre-season ranked #2 in the nation going into this season.  

Pratt will compete at five tournaments before the end of 2023 before starting their conference dual season on January 9. On January 9, the team will host a home tri-dual against Cloud County and Neosho County. The Beavers will also host Barton in a dual on January 18. Both Easton Taylor (141 lbs.) and Cayleb Atkins (165 lbs.) are ranked first in their respected weight classes. Taylor finished last season as a national runner-up and NJCAA All-American and was the KJCCC Newcomer of the Year. Atkins finished third and was an NJCAA All-American as well. Other wrestlers to watch with national rankings include Gabe Maki (149 lbs.) ranked fifth, Blake Jouret (184 lbs.) ranked sixth, Kaden Glass (197 lbs.) ranked sixth, and Cayden Winter (HWT) is ranked sixth.
