Beaver Wrestling Defeats Cloud County In Home Dual

The No. two ranked Pratt Community College dualed Cloud County Community College on Monday, January 22. The Beavers emerged victorious with a dominant score of 60-6 to pick up their second dual win of the season.  

The action kicked off in the 125-pound weight class, where Pratt's Kaden Spragis faced off against Brady Foster from Cloud County. Spragis displayed his skills and determination, defeating Foster with a 14-9 decision, earning Pratt 3 points. Moving on to the 133-pound weight class, Kolton Field from Pratt won by forfeit, granting the Beavers an easy 6 points. 

In the 141-pound weight class, Easton Taylor squared off against Daniel Vines of the T-Birds. Taylor displayed his dominance, securing a technical fall victory with a score of 18-1, earning Pratt 5 points. The 149-pound weight class witnessed an impressive performance from Gabe Maki as he faced off against Tarik Adkins from Cloud County. Maki wasted no time and quickly pinned Adkins in just 57 seconds, securing a fall victory and 6 points for the Beavers.  

In the 157-pound weight class, Dylan Ancheta for the T-Birds battled against Nick Carlson from Pratt. In a close match, Ancheta emerged victorious with a 7-2 decision, earning Cloud County 3 points. The 165-pound weight class saw Cayleb Atkins take on Easton Boone. Atkins dominated the match, securing a technical fall victory with a score of 16-1, earning Pratt 5 points. Moving on to the 174-pound weight class, Drew Withington faced off against Wyatt Powell for the T-Birds. Withington pinned Powell in 4 minutes and 52 seconds, securing a fall victory and 6 points for the Beavers. 

In the 184-pound weight class, Blake Jouret from battled against Mac Chambers. Jouret displayed his superiority, securing a major decision victory with a score of 13-4, earning Pratt 4 points. The 197-pound weight class witnessed an impressive performance from Kaden Glass as he faced off against Darian Gillins. Glass dominated the match, securing a technical fall victory with a score of 21-5, earning 5 points. In the heavyweight division, Gavin Nutting from Cloud County took on Cayden Winter. Nutting emerged victorious with a 6-3 decision, earning the T-Birds 3 additional points.
