Five Wrestlers Advance to Semi-Finals at NJCAA Men's Wrestling Championships

The No. three ranked Pratt Community College wrestling team was in action on Friday, Mar. 1 at the NJCAA men's wrestling championships in Council Bluff, Iowa. The action got underway earlier in the morning at 9:00 for opening round action and wrapped up around 8:30 pm with the quarterfinals and consolation rounds.  

The Beavers have five wrestlers who advanced to the semifinals that will get underway on Saturday, Mar. 2nd. The five include Easton Taylor (141-lb), Gabe Maki (149-lb), Cayleb Atkins (165-lb), Blake Jouret (184-lb) and Kaden Glass (197-lb). Kaden Spragis will continue his way through the consolation bracket after being knocked out in the quarterfinals and will wrestle for third place. Kolton Field (133-lb), Nick Carlson (157-lb), Drew Withington (174- lb) and Cayden Winter (285-lb) were all eliminated on the first day of action in the consolation bracket.  

Pratt is in third place with 93 points while Iowa Central and Western Wyoming are in second and first place, respectively.
