Kaden Glass Wins 197-lb NJCAA National Championship

The No. three ranked Pratt Community College wrestling team headed into day two sitting in third place at the NJCAA men's wrestling championships in Council Bluff, Iowa on Saturday, Mar. 2. The action got underway at 9:30 a.m. for the Beavers as five wrestlers were scheduled for semi-final matches. In addition, Kaden Spragis was scheduled in the consolation round of four.

Three of the five wrestlers advanced to their respective championship matches including Easton Taylor (141-lbs), Cayleb Atkins (165-lbs), and Kaden Glass (197-lbs). Both Taylor and Atkins finished their championship weekends as NJCAA national runners-up with Taylor doing so back-to-back years.

Glass ended his weekend facing the No. one seeded wrestler in his bracket and came out on top in a 4-2 decision for the national championship at the 197-lb weight class. Glass secured a top three finish for the Beavers with 134.5 points.
