Beaver Wrestling Back on The Road For Two More Conference Duals

Pratt, Kan. - The No. nine ranked Pratt Community College wrestling team is back in action on Wednesday, January 29 for a conference dual against Neosho County Community College and the No. five ranked Fort Hays Tech Northwest Tigers. Duals get underway at 5:00 p.m. on the campus of Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kan.  

The Panthers of Neosho County are 3-4 overall in duals this season with wins against Barton Community College, No. 22 ranked Cloud County Community College and Colby Community College. The Panthers have conference dual losses against No. 13 Labette Community College and Cowley College. Earlier in the year, the Panthers competed at the NJCAA nationals duals and finished the weekend with a 1-5 record.  

The No. five ranked Fort Hays Tech Northwest Tigers enter the dual having wrestled Colby Community College, Cowley College, and no. 13 Labette Community College to start their conference dual season. The Tigers will be the highest-ranked opponent the Beavers faced this season with four-ranked wrestlers including Job Lee (157-pounds), Dayton Bell (165-pounds), Otgonbayar Batsuuri (174 pounds), and Lazaro Crespo (184 pounds).  

The Beavers will wrap up their conference dual season on February 6 at home against Colby Community College and Cowley College before hosting the NJCAA South Central District Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, February 15.
