The 2023-24 school year will be Ken Kepley's 13th season at Pratt Community College, and his 12th as the head coach of the Beavers' wrestling program.

With Coach Kepley's guidance, PCC has produced 4 National Champions with 5 Individual National Championships that includes the school’s first two-time NJCAA National Champion, Michael Spangler, in the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 season. In the 2021-2022 season, the Beavers had added to their National Champions list with Jacob Mitchell winning the 141lb. weight class and the school’s first ever three time NJCAA All-American, three time NJCAA National Finalist and one time NJCAA National Champion, Jacob Beeson. Under Coach Kepley, the Beavers have produced 28 out of the 39 NJCAA All-Americans in the school’s history, along with a Kansas Jayhawk Community College Championship in 2021, 2022, & 2023, a Championship Performance at the NJCAA South Central District Tournament following the 2022-2023 regular season for the first time in school history, and numerous placements within the NJCAA top-20 national rankings including a Runner-Up finish at the NJCAA National Tournament in 2023 and a 4th place finish in 2021, which are all the highest in the school’s history.

Since being named head coach, Coach Kepley has stressed the importance of the term "student-athlete". As such, the Beavers have been named the NJCAA Wrestling Academic Team of the Year for 11 consecutive seasons, a label rewarded to the school with the highest team GPA for its respective sport. PCC's wrestling program has inherited further academic accolades following Coach Kepley's hiring, including 12 consecutive seasons as a NJCAA All-Academic Team and 52 NJCAA Academic All-Americans.

Coach Kepley wrestled at the Division I level under Coach Paul Mance & John Mark Bentley at Appalachian State University from 2003-2009. Coach Kepley graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education & Exercise Science while minoring in Sociology & Family Development. Coach Kepley also received his Master's Degree of Education in Professional Athletic Coaching from Northcentral University. He holds a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sport Performance Certification and a USA Wrestling Bronze High Performance Leader for the state of Kansas and the Beaver Wrestling Club located here in Pratt, KS.

The Beaver Wrestling Club has produced multiple USA Wrestling All-Americans including Dayton Porsch who won the USA U20 World Team Trials in Omaha, Nebraska in 2020. Porsch won the weight class and solidified his USA World Team Sport and was slated to represent Team USA in Siberia before COVID-19 put the world to a pause. Michael Spangler has been a multiple time U23 Greco Roman All-American at 55KG and Devon Dawson placing 5th at the US Open in the U20 130KG weight class which earned him a World Team Trials qualification in Geneva, Ohio in 2022 has also seen success along with Blake Jouret with an 8th place finish at 82KG in 2023. At the World Team Trials, Dawson placed third in the country and qualified himself to make the USA National Team in Greco at the U20 age level as well as Easton Taylor at U20 60KG in 2023 placing 5th. Coach Kepley and the Beaver Wrestling Club also spends a lot of his time with USA Wrestling Kansas and the Age Level National Teams with Training Camps, Clinics, and National Teams Duals to grow the sport for all aged male and female wrestlers.

In addition to his duties as head coach, Coach Kepley is an instructor on campus at Pratt Community College in the Health, Physical Education, and Recreation Department for the Sport Performance & Wellness Major. He is also the Fitness Center Coordinator in the Riney Student Center.
