Pratt, Kan. – The Pratt Community College (PCC) Beavers battled the Redlands Community College (RCC) Cougars on Monday, August 22 at the Pratt Soccer Complex. The Beavers picked up their first victory of the 2022 season over the Cougars 3-2.

Action began quickly for the Beavers, as freshman Kaylane Lemos scored the first goal of the game at the 40:48 mark of the first half. Freshman Leticia Tessi was credited with the assist. Tessi didn't waste much time picking up her first goal of season at the 20:30 mark of the first half. Lemos provided the assist. Just four minutes later, Tessi added another goal for a 3-0 Beavers lead.

Redlands scored late in the first half at the 3:09 mark to make it 3-1 at halftime. The Cougars scored the only goal of the second half at the 25:55 mark to pull within one goal of the Beavers. Sophomore Jessi Ferneau had seven saves in the box including two late saves to help lead the Beavers to victory.

The Beavers will return to action against Otero College on Saturday, August 27. Game time is set for 3:00 pm at the Pratt Soccer Complex.
