On Monday, November 7 the Division II All-KJCCC/Region VI women’s soccer post season honors were released. Freshman Leticia Tessi was named conference player of the year. Tessi had 13 goals and six assists this season with a total of four game winning goals. Tessi set the program record with most goals scored in a single season. “What a freshman season you know she came into the Jayhawk and made a name for herself right away,” said Head Women’s Soccer Coach Ashley Cordeiro. “She was a continuous attacking threat against opponents and very proud of her first season and just to think this is just the beginning for her.”

Head Coach Ashley Cordeiro was named Coach of the Year for the first time in her six-year tenure at Pratt. Cordeiro has grown the program over the past six seasons, oversaw the transition to division two, and lead the team to its first NJCAA Region VI championship.

“It is always a great honor it is just hard to accept as its so much more than me behind the scenes,” said Coach Cordeiro. “I have a great assistant coach and the support from the administration and our players who do the work on the field…they are the ones who deserve this honor.”

Pratt had five players named to the All-KJCCC First Team. Sophomores Jade Massing and Natalia Richartz were recognized in addition to freshman Leticia Tessi, Charley Prouse, and Ashlynn Kurtz.
