Women's Soccer 2023 Schedule Released

Pratt Community College and Head Women's Soccer Coach Thomas Gaskell are excited to announce the 2023 women's soccer schedule. The Beavers will play five non-conference games before kicking off an expanded KJCCC conference schedule on September 2. This season will be the first under coach Gaskell.

"Excited to build on what the previous coaches have built over the past five years," said Coach Gaskell. "Winning the conference will be the aim, but tough with Johnson County and Neosho joining our conference. It will be a bigger challenge than ever, but that must be the goal at the start of the year. Excited to work with the girls returning and to see the talent we have coming in."

Pratt will kick off their season on August 19 at home taking on the Seward County Saints, a program who will be in their first season of existence. The team will then hit the road making stops at Tabor College (JV), Lamar, and Northeastern Junior College. They will finish August at home against Kansas Wesleyan (JV) on August 29.

Both Neosho County Community College and Johnson County Community College have dropped down to join the KJCCC Division II soccer conference starting this fall. The Beavers will start their conference season on the road taking on Neosho in Chanute, KS on September 2. Pratt will face rival Allen County early in the season on September 6 at home. The team will then travel to Hesston College the former home of coach Gaskell to face the Larks on September 9. They will then return home to host both Southeast Community College and Johnson County before taking a break from conference play to face Newman University (JV) on September 20 in Wichita, KS.

"It changes the whole dynamic. Johnson will come in as a powerhouse and a top team in the country let alone our conference. It will present a huge challenge for us, but one we must be excited about. If we beat Johnson County then we will give ourselves every chance to win the conference," said Coach Gaskell. Neosho will be another good test but more of a level playing field like Allen and Central. There are two really good teams joining our conference."

The Beavers will host Central Community College and Neosho before traveling to Allen County at the end of September. The team will kick off October at home against Hesston College for their last regular season home game on October 4. Pratt will end their regular season with three long road trips. First up will be Southeast in Beatrice, NE followed by Johnson County in Overland Park, KS. The final regular season game will take place in Columbus, NE on October 18 against Central.
