Volleyball ends shy of a win in five sets against Butler

The Pratt Community College volleyball team participated in another 5-set match as they challenged Butler Community College on the road. The Beavers came up shy of a win to their conference opponent in the end. Butler went on to win three sets first and take the match 3-2, (23-25; 25-18; 19-25; 25-20; 15-7).

The Beavers are now 2-3 on the season when competing in contests that go five sets long. Two of their 5-set matches have been against Jayhawk West opponents.

Butler has also competed in four different 5-set games this year. The Grizzlies are undefeated when going the distance this season.

PCC holds a seventh place standing in the KJCCC after the loss. The Beavers will compete five more times in the 2018 regular season. Four of these matches will be against conference opponents.

PCC volleyball will play next in front of home fans on Oct. 15. Help them pink out the gym as they take on the Friends University Junior Varsity squad at 6:30 p.m.
