Pratt Community College freshman Olivia Hessman has been named the KJCCC Setter of the Week. Hessman was awarded the honor for week 10 of the season. During the week, the freshman setter guided her team to victory in the two final regular season matches of 2018.

While playing against Dodge City Community College, Hessman broke-out for 34 assists, two service aces and three kills on only five swings. She compiled the stat line in only three sets against the Conquistadors and led her team to a season sweep over the opposition.

Hessman was also a heavy contributor in the win against Garden City Community College. While playing less than two sets, Hessman dished out 12 assists, six digs and two kills. A victory in five sets over Garden City also made for another season sweep of a conference opponent.

During the season thus far, Hessman is the third-highest leader in kills for the Beavers with 167. She has also dominated the setter position with a team-high of 593 assists while running both a single-setter and multiple-setter offense this year.

Hessman and her team can be seen in action again when they take on Hutchinson Community College in the opening round of the Region VI Tournament on Oct. 31. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
