Beaver Volleyball Picked up Two Wins in Monday's Triangular

Pratt, Kan. - The Pratt Community College volleyball team hosted a triangular on Monday, October 24 alongside Friends University (JV) and McPherson College (JV). The first match of the day featured Pratt taking on Friends. In the second match, both Friends and McPherson faced off. While the nightcap featured Pratt battling McPherson.

The start their day, the Beavers, faced Friends University (JV) for the second time this season. The previous match took place back on August 27th and was a 3-0 sweep in favor of Pratt. The second meeting started much as the first with the Beavers jumping out to an early 1-0 lead. Both the second and third sets were close (25-21, 25-21), but the Beavers held on to sweep Friends 3-0 for the second time this season. Sophomore Tamara Radovanov lead the team with 13 kills while Brooke Tholen contributed 10 digs.

In their second match, the team faced off against the Bulldogs of McPherson College. The Beavers took a quick 2-0 (25-12, 25-17) lead. The third set remained close with both teams having the opportunity to win the set. Pratt held on to win  25-23 while winning the match 3-0. Freshman Madison Tolle and Radovanov both contributed nine kills while Radovanov also had 12 digs in the match.

The Beavers will host Cloud County on Wednesday, October 26 for their final conference match of the season. In addition, it will be sophomore night with sophomore recognition taking place before the match. The match is set for 6:30 pm in the Beaver Dome.
