Track & Field Ready For Herm Wilson Invite

The Pratt Community College track and field team is headed to Wichita, Kan. this weekend January 25-27 for the Herm Wilson Invitational. The meet is being hosted by Wichita State University and being held at the Heskett Center. Events get underway on Thursday and Friday at 12:30 pm while field events start at 9:30 AM on Saturday, January 27.  

Last Time Out 

The Beaver track and field program traveled to Pittsburg, Kan. on Saturday, January 20 to compete in the NAIA/JUCO Challenge. The event took place at the Robert W. Plaster Center on the campus of Pittsburg State University. Pratt brought home a new school record, another national qualifier, and two top-5 finishes and three top-10 finishes.  

Sophomore Brock Herrman broke his own indoor school record in the weight throw. The record that Herrman held currently stood at 12.49m. He broke that record this past Saturday with a throw of 12.58m. He finished 19 in a stacked field of 29 throwers.  

Pratt also had another student athlete qualify for the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in March. Kareem Smalls finished third in the 60M dash with a time of 6.83 to become the second Beaver to qualify in the 60M dash.
